Good news about Forest Gate South |
||
|
Good Afternoon Forest Gate South,
Apologies for the lack of updates, the team along with Forest Gate North have been working hard to keep Forest Gate safe. We're pleased to share some positive updates.
Criminal Behaviour Order Issued Today, (13/02/2026) a Criminal Behaviour Order has been issued to a prolific drug user who is regularly involved in anti-social behaviour. This order places strict conditions on their conduct and will allow us to take swift action such as arrest and court action. The CBO has been granted for a period of two years and the individual is no longer permitted to enter the Forest Gate area. Arrests on Romford Road Yesterday, (12/02/2026) Officers made two arrests along Romford Road, one for Handling Stolen Goods and the other for breaching a Community Protection Notice. This action continues to form part of our efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour and acquisitive crime. Shoplifting Initiative As part of the ours and the MPS' ongoing focus and commitment to tackling shoplifting, five shoplifters across two days of action have been arrested. We continue to work with local businesses to deter theft from our important retailers and bring those who do commit these horrible offences to justice. Proactive Vehicle Stops - Drug Activity Disrupted Officers stopped a vehicle believed to be linked to a wider drug operation. The stop resulted in disruption to suspected criminal activity. The vehicle was seized as the driver did not have insurance. Traffic Enforcement Activity Multiple vehicle stops have been carried out recently, resulting in drivers being reported for offences including speeding and driving without due care and attention. Multi Agency Meeting We met with other partner agencies including; Newham Council and L&Q in regards to issues around MAGPIE CLOSE and ROMFORD ROAD and all adjacent roads including ATHERTON ROAD, FARADAY ROAD, CLOVA ROAD, SALISBURY ROAD, MAITLAND ROAD to mention only some. This joint working ensures longer-term solutions and better multi agency responses and collaboration.
We remain committed to tackling crime, addressing anti-social behaviour and working with residents and partners to keep our neighbourhood safe.
If you have concerns or information you'd like to share please get in touch with us via Met Engage or do not hesitate to call 999 or 101 and report to the police.
Together, we make our community stronger and safer.
Take care!
